The first orientation workshop on CLTS for the BLNS countries in Africa kick-started from 1st of April 2014, organized by Government of Namibia, UNICEF ESRO and US Aid Southern Africa jointly with CLTS Foundation Global.

A 3-day routine is scheduled for the orientation seminar which is to be held in Safari Court Hotel, Windhoek, Namibia.The theme of the workshop is chosen as A Community-Led Approach to Scaling Up Sanitation Coverage and Sustainable Hygiene Behaviour Change’ which mainly focuses to aid the BLNS countries of Africa, namely Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland.

 

The 3-day regimen of the seminar will have six sessions along with a field visit on the final day to the informal settlements within the City of Windhoek Municipality for an experience of urban CLTS.

 

The 1st day of the seminar will witness the presence of the Mayor of City of Windhoek Ms. Agnes Kafula, Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry Hon. Mutorwa, Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Geingob and Minister of Health and Social Services Hon. Kamwi as Guests of Honour for the opening ceremony.
