The Ministry of Water Supply and Sanitation jointly with UNICEF conducted a National Training of Trainers workshop in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire between 26th-31st January 2013 which was facilitated by Dr Kamal Kar. The workshop was attended by 75 participants from all over Cote d’Ivoire which included the Government ministry staff, staff members of UNICEF, INGOs and national NGOs. During this workshop, participants triggered 11 villages around Yamoussoukro and visited 3 ODF villages developed earlier by the Government and NGO staff members near Abidjan. The workshop involved discussions by the Government and other NGOs on how to roll out CLTS at a larger scale for quickly achieving the MDG sanitation target.
